Sing About Fruit
Maybe you've heard of Improv Everywhere before, but now you definitely have. Improv Everywhere is a New York based group that basically shows up in a public location & puts on a show with no prior fanfare. It is unusual, unique, creative, & will definitely bring a smile to your face. :)

Cleaning Up
This week Thomas Gainsborough's famous painting, "The Blue Boy," was taken from its place in the Huntington museum for a little conservation work. Maybe that isn't too exciting, but for someone like me who enjoys the secret work that goes on behind a successful art museum, this photo set of the conservation is pretty cool. Conservators from The Getty (one of my favourite museums), were sent to work on the painting, their job included taking microscopic paint samples for analysis, & giving the work a new coat of varnish.

Robotic Limbs & Implanted Ears
Stelarc is something else, in more than one sense. His artist lecture, titled The Cadaver, the Comatose, & the Chimera: Avatars Have No Organs, discusses how he uses his body to explore what physical presence means in this day and age. Existence has become an entirely new animal. By the way, yes, that is an actual ear on his arm. This article is not for the faint of heart.

Shopping Goldmine
I am a shopaholic, I admit it. Since that's out of the way now, let me introduce you to ModCloth. This online shopping goldmine sells unique pieces, adorable shoes, and great vintage finds, for affordable prices. I would love to buy about half their entire stock of shoes, & maybe three or four pairs of sweet sunglasses. It's a pretty small online store, but I hope it's around for a while (at least until my next paycheck).
Contact Me
Honey & Lemons now has its own email account, so if you have anything to say, feel free to contact me at honeyandlemonss@gmail.com. I hope to hear from you soon.

Trees & Lamps Can Coexist
You may have already seen examples of Rune Guneriussen's work scattered over the internet, but I doubt that you've seen everything. Rune's crisp photographs of everyday, household objects in natural settings remind one of the juxtaposition between technology & nature that we create just by daily living.
