Men & Women of the Streets

I don't know why I ever stopped visiting The Sartorialist. The Sartorialist is a street fashion blog with beautiful photos in lush colours. One of my favourite things about this blog is that there are quite a few shots of well-dressed men, which something that I think should be celebrated more in the fashion world. Women are clamoring for more diverse body types to be featured in magazines & on runways, but I just want to see more men in shiny shoes & well-cut trousers!

Science Fiction

Oliver Wasow's photographs are mysterious, eerie, & wonderful, reminiscent of some strange, lost science fiction film of past decades. At least that's what comes to my mind when I view them. Be sure to look at his interiors collection & his photos of 1997-1999 (these two sets are my personal favourites).

Deliciously Eerie

Hedi Slimane is a photographer (I seem to have a thing for photographers, don't I?) whose photos are sexy & beautiful, yet with an eerie, almost nostalgic quality to them. She has a few different portfolios, all of which are linked on her mother site, but my favourite is her diary.

Needy

Have I mentioned Need Supply Co. yet? No? Okay then. Need Supply Co. is a snazzy little online store that sells a multitude of great labels, from Acne to Zuriick. They don't carry a lot of items, & I have to be frank & tell you that not every piece is a winner, but the pieces that are winners are marvelous. They've also got a pretty electic blog going too, which I naturally have to recommend.

Underwater

Have you seen Elena Kalis's photographs? They are marvelous. Not only is Kalis a beautiful Russian woman, but she takes completely delightful, rich photos (one of which currently graces my desktop).

All About Purple

Purple is a sexy colour. Purple Diary is a very sexy diary. It's the official blog of Purple Fashion Magazine, & could possibly be better than the magazine itself (I really couldn't say though, since a subscription to the mag is extremely expensive). The blog consists mainly of black & white photographs shot by Olivier Zahm, lightly seasoned with illustrations from Purple Story, the non-official blog of Purple Magazine. The photos are like snapshots captured by a professional photographer, which, coincidentally, is exactly what they are. Olivier Zahm graciously invites you into his life with these snapshots of friends, models, his daughter Asia, other photographers, & the beautiful hidden places that they visit.
